The Wuhan sponge city monitoring program is based on the typical process of urban rainwater management according to city rainfall-runoff-convergence-transport-water catchment-drainage, to select representative nodes to set up monitoring points in each process, so as to monitor the weather, sponge facilities, plot outlets, pipe networks, waterlogging points, sub-catchment outlets, water systems, and drainage pumping stations in the demonstration area, and establish automatic assessment and evaluation software support system through online monitoring data. It involves bubble water level gauge and remote measurement of water and rain conditions, meteorology, water resources, wall conditions, gate control, pump control scheduling systems, water quality monitoring and control systems, etc., and through telemetry data collection and analysis, it carries out unified background scheduling and management.
One sponge network is based on the IoT, cloud computing, and big data technology to monitor, analyze, warn, manage and display the entire process of sponge city examination and evaluation, and realize the evaluation of the sponge city performance evaluation indicators, urban drainage, online rainfall monitoring and water body supervision decision support, and sponge facility decision support services.
